Open Mike Night is the first Friday of the month and is open to those who are currently in Teacher Training, Teachers that have just graduated and would like the exposure or practice teaching, or teachers that would like to practice teaching live a new style or put into a class something that has been recently studied.
Tree Of Life Yoga will list the class along with other class schedules and invite TOLY students and members but it is up to the visiting teacher to invite their friends and family to fill up the studio. It’s the chance to start a following and have students say “I knew her when . . . .”
The class is a donation class (suggested minimum $10) and all of the money collected goes to a local charity (teacher’s choice with studio approval or the studio will select Ready For Life in Pinellas County).
To be included or request more information contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us Friday, June 5, 2015 at 7 PM. Christa Fairbrother will be our visiting Yoga teacher!
Proceeds to this night go to C.A.S.A.
Being a farrier is hard on your body. To counteract the effects of that, Christa enrolled in an Iyengar yoga class. Twenty years later, she has given up the demanding job, but is still practicing yoga. It became such a constant in her life that she enrolled in the St. Petersburg Yoga 200 Hour RYT training program last winter.
Christa states that Yoga continues to keep her healthy and inspired. Helping people with their physical and health challenges is her goal as a yoga teacher. Christa has a diverse professional background, an MA in Museum Education, and personal health challenges - all of which influences her teaching style.
