CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
  

Barre is an intensive body shaping experience designed to produce reliable results and is influenced by classical and modern dance (though it is not a dance class) and utilizes a barre to achieve optimal positioning. The precision-oriented technique focuses mainly on small, isolated movements within deeply held and challenging postures. Barre is proven to increase metabolism, burn fat, and lengthen tight muscles. Beginners and intermediate levels.
 
 
This gentle, yet vigorous, flow class is for Black Friday, the day after feasting. It will detoxify your body and mind using poses and breathing techniques that are designed to boost the immune system and renew the digestive system through the detoxification process. Yoga experience recommended.
 
This restorative yoga practice makes yoga accessible to everyone using a chair for warm up then moves to the wall. You will practice postures that focus on lengthening/toning the muscles while improving flexibility, joint mobility, posture, balance, core strength and circulation. This slow-paced class is perfect for those who are challenged with sitting crossed legged, balance, low back, hips, knees, or chronic tension. We will focus the mind, breathe deeply and move gently to renew the mind, body and spirit.
 
Chair to Wall Yoga is also good for those who sit at a desk all day, athletes, and/or travelers who can learn how to relieve stress, tension, and weariness from the rigors of work, sports training or travel while improving circulation and maintaining energy. This is NOT your Grandmother’s chair class.

 
The same yoga postures can be used in many types of classes, but perhaps with different emphasis. Some may focus on flowing movement and others on breath. Some may offer physical challenges of both strength and balance, while still others will help gently calm a stressed body-mind.
This class combines these different aspects of yoga, not all at once, but with a changing emphasis as the class unfolds. These areas of focus are woven together by fundamental principles such as growing our range of motion in both body and mind, and observing your practice with less judgment and more kindness toward your Self.

Classic Yoga allows students of different experience levels to practice without comparison, providing options to make postures less or more challenging as appropriate for each student. Please join us for a new experience each time! All levels.
 

This class focuses on gently awakening the body, mind, and spirit through a variety of postures that are linked to the breath. The light-to-moderate playful flow is slow and meditative, fluid and heart-opening and builds internal warmth. The flow is followed by sequencing to continue to open and release. Just the right thing for starting off Sunday. New-to-yoga and advanced practitioners are welcome; yoga experience recommended. Accessible for most levels; intermediate intensity.
 
 
This enjoyable class includes gentle yoga followed by meditation. The first half of this class focuses on physical yoga postures in preparation for meditation. You will use sound, breath, silent and guided meditations. It will invigorate your mind and body in this holistic integration of mindful yoga. All levels of meditation practitioners are invited to join!
 
 
This flow class focuses on gratitude and will focus on grounding and centering so that you are able to open your heart to all for which you are grateful. It will include a gentle warm-up, pranayama and a flow that will build internal heat warming up the body. Open up to gratitude, connect with life and nature and draw energy up through our roots, into our hearts and out into the world. Light intermediate flow; some yoga experience recommended.
 

Hatha yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation and a path toward creating balance. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose. These classes blend standing poses, seated/floor poses, meditation, and pranayama (breath exercises). This class may also include some active flow or sun salutations. These classes are the great place to find the perfect balance of strengthening and stretching. Some yoga experience recommended. Intermediate level.
 
Offering tools to enhance your yoga practice!

Go on a journey of self-awareness and deep relaxation. Students may join the circle at any time. Each class will consist of a reading, guided imagery and meditation, and there is a theme for each week.
 
Aromatherapy and Hemi-Sync Metamusic® will be used to enhance your experience.

Fascia is flexible, connective bands around and within muscles and cells, similar to the white webbing underneath the peel of an orange. Stress, trauma to the body, surgeries, and illness create tremendous pressure and/or chronic pain on the fascia system, muscles, and joints.

In this class we will use yoga postures, tools, and techniques to help you to release pressure in the fascia. We will create an environment for releasing the fascial tension for healthier, more relaxed movement in order to promote a sense of balance in the mind and body.

 

This hatha yoga class on the mat, uses safe modified yoga postures, to increase flexibility and strengthening postures with resistance to improve bone health. Posture improvement, alignment, core strength, and balance with movement that focuses on the back, hips and joints. Perfect for men and women, all ages.

A restorative yoga practice can help you rest, reflect, and refresh. Some props may be used for a supported, restful practice to deeply nurture body and spirit. Restorative Yoga works to heal your body emotionally and physically. You may relish a restorative practice to help you sleep at night or when you simply need to unwind the body and mind completely. A variety of props will assist you in making you feel comfortable in this class. This class is suitable for anyone. All levels.
 
 
This class is ideal for almost all levels of physical fitness - from the beginner to advanced, or younger to older student - or simply those seeking a more active lifestyle. As we allow ourselves to take our time in a slower-paced yoga practice, we find that our muscles become more supple, our breath deepens, enlivens, and invigorates, and our entire being shifts towards a state of greater balance.

Liberal use of yoga props will be demonstrated throughout the class. But since this is a moderately active and “flowing” style of yoga, if you are more physically fit or experienced you can forgo the use of some props and aim for a more challenging workout.
 
Stay at your own pace, do only what you feel comfortable with, use yoga props, and take breaks whenever YOU need them. Variations will be given for each posture so that the student can tailor the practice to his or her needs, abilities, or physical limitations. Intermediate intensity with some yoga experience recommended.
 

 

This class combines tools that will take you and keep you on a path to better health and wellness. Strengthen|Restore yoga’s main focus is on strengthening and for those who are looking to increase strength and/or maintain ease of movement. It will include postures that focus on strengthening and layer gentle and restorative postures for balancing. Classes feature a variety of props including occasional use of weights, stability balls, etc. This class is also good for those who do athletic training. Intermediate level; yoga experience recommended.


This upbeat, creative yoga practice, seamlessly linking breath and movement, will keep you present as you learn to move gracefully in and out of poses. Utilizing Sun Salutations, strength building and connected movements, Vinyasa teaches us to cultivate an awareness that links each action to the next—on the mat and in our lives.. A stronger class for those wanting to boost their practice. Yoga experience recommended.

Yoga and movement can enhance quality of life as a complement to medical treatments. In this mat yoga class, you can learn how to relieve some common side effects, during and after cancer treatments. We will focus the mind, breathe deeply and move gently to renew the mind, body and spirit.
