Jill Perry is the founder of Tree of Life Yoga. After spending 25+ years in the insurance and financial services fields, Jill opened ToLY as a result of experiencing personal transformation from a yoga practice that provided relief from chronic back pain as well as managing stress. Jill has years of teaching experience during her years in a corporate environment and also studied and taught group fitness classes, spiritual texts and studies, as well as providing insurance education and Continuing Education to colleges.

As a result of her belief that yoga and holistic fitness is for every body and everybody, she set about building a center that offers classes suitable for all levels of yoga, beginner to advanced, as well as meditation, barre, Pilates, Ayurveda, personal training, private and small-group instruction. Coming from a place of her years of experience in corporate training and as an adjunct instructor she developed and teaches, along with a staff of six experienced and well-educated yogis, both 200 and 500 Hour Yoga Alliance certification programs, as well as developing and teaching continuing education for yoga teachers, workshops, series classes, and master classes.

Jill’s public classes offer a blend of flow, meditation, pranayama, and a connection to Self. She loves teaching students who are seeking to go deeper into their practice.

We are calling this a trifecta. Experience Yoga Nidra suspended weightlessly in a silken cocoon and let the waves of a Live Sound Bath wash over you.

Yoga Nidra is a simple practice with profound impact. It is a unique combination of alert awareness and deep relaxation. On the most basic level, Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic Sleep, relaxes, rejuvenates and renews the physical body. Yoga Nidra is good for anyone with a desire for greater inner peace, improved health, or connection within one’s self. It is a guided meditation that has the power to transform, heal, and rejuvenate you at the core level of your being. It switches you out of flight or fight mode and into the relaxation response — your body’s natural healing state — where revitalization and regeneration naturally occur. The practice of Yoga Nidra strengthens the immune system, helps regulate blood pressure, balances the nervous and endocrine systems, heals trauma, supports pain relief, stabilizes the mind and emotions, improves sleep, and aids insomnia. It also empowers you to eliminate unconscious obstructions and energetic blocks that prevent you from living your life to the fullest. The practice of Yoga Nidra gives you access to your deeper levels so that you feel connection with your whole self.

A Sound Bath is a deep meditative musical experience played with Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and a Shamanic drum. Participants will lay cocooned in their silken hammock and let the waves of sound wash over them to experience a calming of the overstimulated nervous systems and balances the subtle body. (Also known as the energetic body where our life force energy or prana exists.) Sound bathing is said to work both the physical body and the subtle body to help heal depression, anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia. It also deepens meditation and sparks creativity.

Yoga Nidra and a Live Sound Bath combined is simply magical!!

This systematic method of inducing complete mental, emotional, and physical relaxation is suitable for all practitioners. We will not be doing inversions.

This class is limited to 12 participants and sold out last time, so sign up early! Participants must be free of zippers and jewelry.
